Instituted in 2009, the objective of Puraskar is to encourage and promote involvement of corporate entity (Public/Private), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the promotion and development of sports in the country.
Any corporate entity, public or private and non-governmental organization (NGOs), which has played a visible role in anyone or more than one of the following areas of sports promotion and development will be eligible to be considered for Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar:
Organisations should have identified and nurtured at least 50 young and budding sportspersons each year during the last three years.
Entities that use Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to fund sports towards the promotion and development of sports in the country.
The organization should have recruited at least 50 sportspersons during last three years.
An entity which has been working for promotion and development of sports at least for the last three years would be eligible to apply.
The award will consist of a citation and a trophy. There will be no cash prize.
