The International Sports University, Maharashtra (ISUM), established in 2020 under Maharashtra International sports University act and based in Pune's Balewadi (Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex), is a specialized state university focused on sports education, sciences, management, journalism and technology. It is India’s first dedicated sports university with a mission to professionalize and strengthen the country’s sports ecosystem 

It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs to train professionals for the sports industry, aiming to boost India's sports performance.  

The curriculum covers sports science, medicine, technology, management, media, and coaching. These degrees are valid for Govt jobs and further studies. The University aims to develop trained personnel for the sports industry, with a capacity of 50 students per course.
