The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) supports institutions in organizing specialized sports training programs aimed at strengthening the skills of: 

• Physical Education Trainers 

• Sports and Games Teachers 

• Directors of Sports 

This initiative encourages institutions to promote traditional sports, recreational games, and mass participation in physical activity. 

About the Training Program 

• The program is a twoweek residential training course designed to enhance the capacity of sports educators. 

• Each batch must include a minimum of 25 participants. 

• The training focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and techniques needed to engage communities in sports and recreational activities. 

Financial Assistance Provided 

Under this scheme, AICTE offers financial support to the host institution to cover: 

• Travel expenses 

• Boarding and lodging 

• Administrative costs 

• Program execution expenses 

Only institutions approved by AICTE are eligible to apply for and conduct these training programs.
